You are invited to attend this informative, seven week course for absolute beginners, intermediate users and advanced users. Digital mentors will be on hand to assist each person as they practise the concepts learned.
Are you thinking of buying a tablet or iPad but don't own one yet? We have iPads for you to borrow as a trial first.
The course runs each Tuesday afternoon from 25 February to 8 April 2025.
Sessions:
Beginners 1.00pm - 2.30pm
Afternoon tea 2.30pm - 3.00pm
Intermediate and Advanced 3.00pm - 4.30pm
The Beginner course is geared towards those who know very little about technology, tablets and smartphones and we proceed slowly, with practice exercises to ensure you know and understand what you have just learned. Those who have completed the Beginner course before but would like to consolidate their skills are welcome to enrol again.
The Intermediate course is geared towards those who are familiar with technology but would like to know more. This would be suitable for those who have already completed the beginner course.
The Advanced course is for those who are quite competent but would like to go further. This time we will be experimenting with AI and learning about digital art.
Some of the topics covered include:
Beginners - wifi and networks, web browsers, search engines, apps, podcasts, online banking, password safety, scams and so much more.
Intermediate - organising apps, voice recognition, online shopping and payment, photography, MyGov and Service NSW, social media such as Instagram, Pinterest etc, saving files, photo sharing, researching family history, exploring Google Earth and so much more.
Advanced - Experiment with AI, Canva, Digital art using an Apple pencil, advanced photography, and more.
